5 mistakes that cause wrong shipments

Wrong shipments cost money. These five habits remove most of the mistakes.

1. Sort labels by SKU. Packing similar items together avoids mix-ups.
2. Print the SKU on the label. The packer should never guess what goes in the box.
3. Use a picklist. Pick all items first, then pack.
4. Separate multi-item orders. Pack them on their own so nothing is left out.
5. Check the count. The picklist total should equal the number of labels printed.

A tool cannot replace care, but a good workflow makes careful packing the easy option.
